Law or Love.. Which one to Choose?

You search and investigate and pore over the Scriptures diligently, because you suppose and trust that you have eternal life through them. And these [very Scriptures] testify about Me! And still you are not willing [but refuse] to come to Me, so that you might have life.
[John 5:39-40]

Bible as a book has 2 main divisions, which are the Old Testament and the New Testament. New Testament is with respect to Jesus, his arrival, his mission and the completion of his purpose. Additionally in this section we can also see the mission that Jesus  had is been communicated to the world through his disciples. One of the main thing he taught was LOVE. Jesus Christ coming to this world to save us was because of the LOVE that our Father God had for us, and this is visible in the following very well know bible verse.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. [John 3:16]

Love as defined by Lord himself is highlighted in the following verse. This verse shows what is the definition of Love, whom to Love and how should we measure the LOVE if we need to justify that we have been loving in our life, or that we have a loving nature towards others.

"As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
[John 15:9-13]

All these verses highlight that Love is supposed to be the main area of our focus in our lives. With love we can attain everything. Love gives us the confidence on others, it gives us the compassion for others, it gives us the affection towards others. We fell that we are one with others. Above all we will be replicating Lord in our life when we start loving as it had been commanded by Lord himself in verse John 15:12.

Old Testament was the books and incidents happened before the coming of Jesus. That time God had been using his prophets and messengers to guide his people in the right and righteous ways. Old Testament also highlights the part where God had been seeing many of his appointed people not following his instruction so through Moses he gave them some laws. These laws were given to them to highlight what is wrong in them, and at that time even if anyone missed on one of the laws, he was supposed to miss all the laws. So this was a very strict way to get them streamlined to the way of Lord. Many from that tradition got the habit to lead a, life which is totally linked to follow the laws, and they could not think of anything away from the laws which they had got.

Following this laws made their life very hardened and they tend to make the life of others around them also a similar strict, and stubborn life. Laws were given to make them know that we are all sinners and the way to salvation was to just start believing in God our Father.

Finally to make all thing proper and since the laws were not getting the purpose accomplished, God the Father send his only Son to this world to be died for we sinners and open a path to salvation. Through his we have everything, and he in us will a life of blessing. Teaching of LOVE is more powerful than the teaching of Law, and since we had received this command of LOVE directly from Lord, we are bound to follow this, else we miss all opportunity to prosper and receive what we could receive.

Lets start shaping our mind and heart to follow the commandment from our Lord to LOVE others, and reflect the image of Christ through us.

Lord is Grace...
